Free research paper – can it help me?
There may be times when a free research paper is offered to you when you are in school. When this happens, there should be more questions asked than just whether or not it can help you. Let’s talk about a few of them now.
Can it help you?
In the long run this question would have to be answered with a no, For short term, yes it might get you a paper that may be able to get a decent grade, but at what cost? Yes, it is free but the knowledge that you would have gained by researching and writing the paper yourself will be lost. That is a tremendous cost in the long run.
Will it get you a good grade?
That will be entirely dependent on the quality of the paper. The only way that you can ensure that a paper gets a good grade is if you do it yourself and research it thoroughly before writing it.
Is it plagiarism free?
This can be an issue. Not only do you need to know that it is plagiarism free, you also need to know that ALL resources were properly cited as well as whether this paper has been given to other students. Yes, you can check for plagiarism online but how do you check for all sources being cited and if other students have also been given the paper?
Is it ethical?
This particular question really should not even have to be asked. If you are considering getting a free research paper though then it might have to be. There are so many things wrong with this issue. By getting a free research paper, not only are you stealing the opportunity for you to be educated from yourself, you are also stealing from whoever is paying for you to get that education. All that and we haven’t even talked about the fact that you will be passing off someone else’s hard work as your own.
Truly and honestly, the only person who can answer these questions is you. You have to decide if your moral compass works or not and if you will be able to handle the consequences once you get caught. This is a decision that could cost you everything…your education as well as your future career. It should not be undertaken lightly. Do your due diligence and make the right choice for yourself.
